PLEASE READ

  • All Vessels being launched from BRL must show proof of third party/fully comprehensive insurance and visible Datatag.
  • Season launch holders will provide their insurance and a copy will be kept on file.  Day launch crafts will have to show their insurance each time and sign a disclaimer.  BRL have the right to show anyone’s insurance details to Local Authorities, damaged/injured parties or police.
  • BRL and employees of BRL will not be held liable for lost, damaged, personal injury or stolen equipment within the car park, whilst towing or at place of storage at Keith Farm.  It is the owner’s responsibility to lock, store or take whatever security precautions that are necessary to comply with their own insurance.  Beach Rock Leisure hold no responsibility/liability for any accidents/injuries which occur on the water, beach or ramp.
  • Any pleasure craft/dive boats will require the pleasure craft/dive boat to be secured to the trailer by two methods.  By using winch strap and another form both fit for the purpose.  Also the trailer is secured to the tractor by two methods trailer hitch and also a secondary coupling also both fit for the purpose.  There will be no travelling in the boat, one person in the tractor, the remaining crew on beach at launch site before hitching up.
  • The crew for any Dive boat/pleasure craft are responsible at all times for connecting/disconnecting the trailer to the tractor on beach and the car park.
  • BRL will launch various vessels but will not carry any passengers on the tractor or on the jet skis while in transit. IT IS THE CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY TO REMEMBER AT ALL TIMES SAFETY CHAIN/EASH SHOULD BE ATTACHED TO THE TOWING EYE WHEN SKI/BOAT IS INTRANSIT (if you do not have one then you must take the necessary precautions).
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult when on the PWC at all times. They are a named driver on the persons insurance policy and are RYA approved.
  • Buoys are put out during busy times such as Bank Holidays, weekends and during the summer season.  These buoys are to show watercraft users their boundaries in front of the reefs.
  • The front of the reefs should only be used for launching, novices and towing.  It should be made clear that a speed of 8 knots (10mph or less) must be applied from/to the shoreline.  These buoys are for defining boundaries not for use as a slalom course.  No tricks should be done within the 200 metres or near any anchored vessels.
  • We would be grateful if you could show consideration to fisherman on the beach and fishing vessels and keep a good distance away.
  • Please remember that lifejackets/buoyancy aids and appropriate equipment should be worn at all times on any vessel that is launched.  We will not launch anyone who is suspected of drinking or taking drugs.  BRL will telephone Authorities if any disorderly behaviour occurs on BRL car park or beach.
  • It has become increasingly apparent that people are doing more and more towing therefore can you please make sure when towing that you have someone spotting your wakeboard/inflatable/skier and when they come off at anytime that an arm is raised to make any other persons aware that there is someone in the water.  The arm must not come down until the person/persons are back on the ski/boat or being towed.  Please also make sure that you check behind you before turning when towing.  Please make sure that you have read through your insurance policy documents to ensure that you know how many people you can tow behind your jet ski/boat.
  • During the main season, when the lifeguards are in attendance there is a marked flag area which is a designated swimming zone but please note swimmers can and do use any area including where we launch so please be vigilant
  • If you wish to take a trip to Great Yarmouth, Cromer or beyond please inform someone in the shop which direction you will be going and what time you propose to be back.  If you are wanting to go and see the wind farm please make sure you keep your distance and do not use it as a slalom course.  PLEASE DO NOT GO OUT OF SIGHT OR MILES AWAY ON YOUR OWN – REMEMBER TO GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE AND ALWAYS CARRY A TOW ROPE IN THE FRONT OF YOUR SKI.  PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE END REEF WAVE JUMPING. (Waxham End)
  • Beach Rock Leisure is an established RYA Training Centre and PWC Competency Certificates can be achieved by participating a full days training course.
  • If any of the above Code of Practice is broken BRL will issue a warning and not launch any offender.
  • PLEASE REMEMBER that there is to be no flushing out of engines at the Farm before 9.00am or after 6.00pm.  There is no entrance before 9.00am or after 6.00pm.  You MUST close the barrier every time you enter or leave the farm.
